I would visit the website of the transplant center where you may have the transplant done. Also the UNOS web site is a very comprehensive resource for many issues concerning TPs.

This excellent document explains "What every patient needs to know" about transplants.

Model for End-Stage Liver Disease (MELD) calculator is here.

Patients' Frequently Asked Questions (PFAQ): Liver Transplantation from the CPMC transplant center in San Francisco which I think is a good resources also.

I hope this answers some of your questions and gives you ideas about what you would like to know from your doctor.

Best of luck to you.

I’m “bumping” your post to the top so it doesn’t get buried. There are only a few members hear that have had Transplants and the weekends can be slow. I am sure someone will respond soon.
