New to treatment

Hi Everyone - Its day 29 and I have started the second part of treatment with Victrellis.  I am waiting for my 4 wk lab results and am somewhat anxious. I've been tolerating the meds and am hopeful that with victrellis I will go down the 28 wk treatment pathway.  I have ulcerative colitis which is why I chose victrellis over I incyvek.  My greatest challenge is my faulty plumbing.  Well I wanted to join a support community and any insights you cn offer is appreciated.  Thanks everyone and may success be on your side!

Hi there, good luck on your labs. I'm on the boceprevir too, week 8. My best advice is drink tons of water. I slipped and added dehydration to my lowered hgb. Not pretty. I think I am adjusting to the hgb. It was 11.1 2 weeks ago and I feel as tho it may be steady. Just had blood drawn this morning. Hoping for UND and other pretty numbers. At this point, the metal mouth has kicked in, but not too bad. I eat all the time. Any exercise will help especially if you're feeling yucky. Best to ya!

Hi There!

I am brand new to the forum as well - but am on week 21.  Glad you found this place early on; seems like some pretty supportive people who will be able to help you through this.  It can be a bumpy road but the good news is, it WILL end.

All the best to you!
