Liver or Gall Bladder

I have been diagnosed five years ago with Hepatitis C, but was told that I had a certain thing with my immunity system that meant that I would not require treatment...more the carrier.  I asked how often I would have to come back to be rechecked and was told never, because I wouldn't have a problem.  For the past year or so I have had a slight burning in that area...that seems to be almost constant anymore.  My sister and her daughter have had issues with their gall bladders where both had to have their gallbladder removed.  I cannot afford to go to a doctor...is this my gallbladder or my liver?  I have developed, just recently, belching, which I have never had before.  Should I be concerned?

Desrt is right, get your records. I am guessing you were told this by a primary care doctor not a hep doctor?

Even if you don't feel you can afford a Dr. right now, those records from 5 years ago are yours. Get copies and post exactly what they say here.
I'm betting if you post the general area of the country you live in, someone can point you in the direction of getting some type of medical assistance.

Greetings and welcome to the forum. I'm not sure I can pinpoint the area that ails you though I am intrigued by what you were told about your Hepatitis C diagnosis years ago.

I realize this was a long time ago but do you mean that when you tested for Hepatitis C Antibody and it showed "reactive" or that you lack the antibody to hepatitis C so you have never been exposed?

Another member with more insight than I have should be along soon with some kind of suggestion (or need more info) so hang in there!
