So high anti-hcv level may mean you have probably +RNA and chronic hepatitis .

I've learned it when i was 28, pls don't give up and be patient. You can reach me by private messages. I live in Turkey too. Gecmis olsun.

one thing you will learn about this disease is that you have to be patient...everything takes way longer then anyone wants it to, ha....

I was at one time an instant gratification nut... this disease has just about broken me of that!

You are very young still, so there is a good chance you haven't had it all that long...it usually takes many years to do damage to your liver, and not all go on to have significant liver damage.  Hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones that cleared on your own...lets go with that for now!

Great link I had not seen before, thanks! Probably missed it at some point due to brain fog, etc.
(and thanks for the LOL on "...no symptoms from the virus other than  a bad case of exccesive interenet posting on this forum",  we do need the lighter side of things now and then)

Yes..being told we might have HCV  can be a shock,,however take some comfort in the fact that if you do have it ..like I said it usually takes literally decades for it to do any significant damage .

There are new treatments being worked on in the labs as we speak and in time it is thought they will be very effective at eradicating the virus.(even better than the approx. 75 % currently)

Most PCR's don't take 15 days ..however if yours does ..try to stay calm and hang out and ask questions here..  This is a good place to recieve info. and support

Best..

Dear Will,
Many thanks for your answer.Today I am still in the shock..I dont know what to do and cant stop thinking about hepatitis C. After I got the result the doctor advised me another Prf. doctor and he asked some blood results which is''HCV RNA'' but I have to wait 15 days to get result as they sent blood to another city.. How can I stand 15 days. :(

You have had the  Hepatitis C " antibodies test" and it has shown that you have most likely been exposed to HepC.

You now need to have another blood test..the HCV/RNA byPCR test to ascertain whether or not you have active HCV or possibly are in the approx. 20  -25 % of people that have cleared the virus by your own immune system.

The doctor  that ran the above test should refer you to a specialist to run further testing ,being the one I mentioned or possibly he can order this test himself.

Does this hepatitis c kill me?
-------------------------------------
HCV can  cause damage(fibrosis) over time to the liver ,however this process usually takes many many years and most often decades for this to occur .

Being as young as you are the chances of you having significant liver damage at this point are remote.

There are treatments avail that currently are approx. 70  -80% succesful ,,and once you have had some further testing done this should be discussed with your  doctor...
Best to you..
Will..
