About blood tests.

This is in relation to my last question. Last summer, doctors found a tumor in my back (a type of non-hodgkins B-cell lymphoma). I have went through the chemo treatments, and they tell me that the tumor is gone and I am currently in remission. But while I was recieving chemo, I had to have my blood tested before each treatment (which was every 3 weeks). So my question is this: If I had contracted Hep C, would they have noticed something wrong with my blood and known that I had it then, or is Hep C the type of thing they need to be speifically looking for to find? The reason I'm asking is because my last treatment was Dec. 20th and since then, not only have I not had sex with my girfriend very often (maybe 3 or 4 times because we split up for a couple weeks), but we haven't had anything but normal, vaginal sex since then. So I was  thinking that if they didn't notice anything unusual with my blood during the treatment, and was clean then, then I probably have a pretty good chance of being clean now. Would that be a false assumption?

Thanks for your time,
Hellchild

It probably has something to do with the whole string theory, I.E. since the universe is made up of little loops of energy that are the smallest particle ocurring in nature then it would only make since that some threads would revert to their natural state and just disapear. of course it could be that the site has compressed the thread and you can open it from the main page.

oh and by the way, I used to think I had a strange and bizzar user name but some of you newbies make me feal much better.

YOU GO FORSEEGOOD, I totally agree with you. It was determined that I contracted HepC through a Tatoo on my birthday in 1980.  Was given to me at someones home; who did many tatoos.  BUT, they are still doing research on nose secretion and bloody straws; as far as I know they still have not determined if it can be spread that way.  If indeed it can; there will be an even bigger % of the population that will be diagnosed with this disease.  And, there will be many, many shocked that they have contracted this through that GOOD OLD NOSE CANDY.

Oh! By the way; that Tatoo was free.LOL LOL LOL
This made me remember that there is nothing free in life; for I am paying dearly for it now.

hey beamer- i saw the movie "Dark Days" on Comcast after you mentioned it. i thought it was very interesting. i'm also a functioning , recovering alky/druggie and i sure can't judge the tunnel ppl. the formula for chronic abuse is drugs+ alcohol+time=institution,or death, or jail or even homelessness. that's a bottom thankfully i never hit.
hellchild- why are you worried before your tested? that's being hypochondriac to me. i could have imagined all kinds of diseases i may have had due to my former lifestyle. i would have thought my hep C would've caused more damage than it did. don't worry about stuff that you don't even know about. get tested then maybe you can worry. the risk factors warrent it, especially for your g/f.
