Pain after treatment

I have had perfectly good liver enzymes even through my treatment so I was put on vicodin for the pain, now I am on vicoprofen. I was comparing side effects and apparently vicoprofen can cause heart attacks. I only had to take 2 vicodin a day and I have to take 3 vicoprofen. What are you guys doing for headaches joint pain etc... I have a job and a house to keep. I also take care of my 20 yr old autistic son who is so wonderful. When I have this terrible pain I can't get out of bed and  I can't walk on my right leg. I am not thrilled about pain meds but if I am suffering I will take them. I tried to be tough but I couldn't do everything at once. Thoughts??

I would take the vicoprofen myself.  Are you saying that the 2 Vicodin helped your pain better than the 3 vicoprofen?  If so I would ask the doctor to go back to the vicodin.  Also, there are different strengths of Vicodin, is it possible you were on a stronger strength?

It's difficult for you and I am realy wondering how you do it. Try somethimes to do a little things for yourself which relax you. Every day a half hour or something like that.

I am sorry you are suffering with so much to keep up with.  I have really bad  headaches, and so far nothing has helped.  I had some vicodin left from treatment and they don't do much for me.  Years ago, I took vicoprofen - i was told they were easier on the liver because of the buffer in them.  Good luck.
