Need info on my iterfuron

Hi all,
Traveling with my Friday dose tommorrow (Thu.) & am having trouble reaching my Dr.(closed after 12 on Wed.)and airlines (SW) refered me to TSA (Who says OK as long as ice pack is less than 3" x 3"). Funny....can't seem to find one that small.
What does anyone think about dosing Thursday morning instead of friday night to avoid all the potential hassle?  By the way, Int. doesn't make me feel bad so it's not a problem in that area. Thanks in advance!

It's been a couple yrs since I finished tx but my doc at the time allowed me to change my schedule up to 24 hours.  I could give my shot up to 24 hrs earlier than normal or 24 hrs later but she didn't want me changing it anymore than that.  How would that work for you or do you need to advance your shot more time than that?

Hope I've helped.  Good luck.

I came across such an icepack at home last week.  It's about the size and shape of a hockey puck. Don't know where we got it though.  If it were me and knowing how fussy the TSA can be, I'd take it a day early or at the last possible hour.  The risk being that if you show up at security and you're non-compliant for whatever reason, your choice would be to inject while you go through the magnetometer or possibly surrender the coolant which would put the Peg at risk.  If you decide to show up with the syringe, bring a copy of a prescription with you - if you have it.  Will you return before your next scheduled shot?

Thanks for your help all! I think I'm going to risk the early injection even though it's around thirtysix hours previous.......I think..... Also, yes I'll be back before my next inj. (just a four day trip)
It is sure a comfort to know about this site!
Thanks!

I don't see the harm in taking it a day early.
VS going thru all the nonsense at the airport.  Weren't you given a card to carry with you at all times for times like this?
any how as I was saying I don't see the harm.

Carry card? Never even thought of it! I guess I'll ask my Dr. as there are sure to be more expeditions in the future. Gotta tell you though.....TSA....I can think of better ways to spend forty minutes on the phone!
Thanks again!
