the above post was to you also, on the government health benefits, I kind of mixed two comments in one. more cost effective...
You made the reference to the Bible and other religious text in your previous post.
I have been following the Aramhoff case closly, and your right it's only the tip of the iceberg. It's going to bring down alot of powerful people.
One of my sons live in California and I know what you are saying, you are right.
I lived all my life in NY except the last few years. Many of my friends are to the right and until about 20 years ago so was I. Sadly there is a scandel facing the Long Island area of NY, you might have read about it that has been going on for many years.
Things really do have to change.

BLESSED ARE THE MEEK
And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peace-makers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
The Gospel According to Matthew
I've read the bible all of my life and never seen anything that says '"if you don't work you don't eat". I have read "the workman is worthy of his hire" which is a completely different thing. Where did you see these sayings? Reaping what you sew...saying we deserve hepatitis is ludicrous and not what that bible quotation was meant for. I am a graduate of Northeast Bible Institute and well...taking scripture out of context is a VERY easy thing to do but doesn't make it right either.
I do have a question and don't want to seem a smart aleck but you said you've had many chances to get in to insurance groups as a hair dresser. I was wondering IF you were in one and if not who is currently paying for your tx, bx, meds type stuff?
Cobra is indeed around $750 a month - once you are laid off who has THAT kind of money floating around extra each month when the highest unemployment you can receive isn't more than barely $400 a month. Take 1600 - 750 and what do you have left to eat with or pay rent? Most people considering food and housing ABOVE medical payments mostly because - they are.
I know you like to argue with me, as an independent hairstylist for 20 years I have been offered numerous opportunities to join group insurance policies. I've lived in CA and NV but these companies where national. I will not list out links and documentation for my opinions. If you feel so strongly about disproving my statements, do your own research. You could search the internet to find companies that sign individuals to existing group policies. Peace
