Anyone with experience using Milk Thistle

can you tell me the appropriate amount of milk thistle to use on a daily basis?

I use it and felt better after a while and my alt/ast went down. It can't hurt according to my doc.

I have never heard of not using milk thistle while on treatment.  Could that have anything to do with being a non responder, and having my VL double during the first 12 wk of tx.

I have read many of your post and you seem to really be up on everything.  I am trying to catch up with you, but I am afraid it will take me awhile.  Thank you for all the information you share and for the time you give the rest of us.

If you're not on treatment, 900 mg. of milk thistle daily, divided into three doses, is appropriate.

If you're on treatment, milk thistle is not recommended.
