Ha dale, sounds like vertigo . My pap has the same sx , went to the doc and this is what they said he has. He is 67 years old , the other day he came over to visit and almost fell down from it. Said his ears kept ticklin alot . My ole man was always strong as a ox and it's hard for him to deal with .
Got the ambien today , finially . Thanks for the tip and thier 12.5 mg. I slept 1 friggen hour last nite and snapped on 1 of my boss's at work. Eight tonite I'm droppin 1 and see what happens .
Cpuple of things. I take the 12.5 Ambien and I would suggest that you are sitting on the side of your bed when you take them - seriously. I have a habit of taking the ambien and riba at 7:30 at night. Problem is I try to fight the sleep (I think) and get up and down. I fell into the china cabinet the other night along with a few other places in the house. I have no recollection of any of this. My wife had to find me and put me to bed. I've tried my best to remember what she said happened and draw nothing but blanks. Care is advised. Sleep is really important though. Probably next month I will start trying to wing myself off of them. I hope. Glad you were able to get some help so you can sleep though. Dale
PS: Can do is starting to scare me again we were talking about organ donors and he is asking a lot of questions about my eyes and their condition. At least with Jim he is only interested in eye shadow ha!
dale, eyes yes. Eye shadow and face cream de nut, NO

That amnesia from Ambien isn't all that unusual - I've had that plenty of times. Try taking it before you're ready to sleep. I used to take it early because it felt so good. I talked to a shrink at transplant and she said "why wouldn't you take it and try to stay up - it's the only time in the day that you feel good and then you're supposed to go to sleep". Well, that was fine but I started taking it just before I wanted to sleep and then got into bed and all was fine. It's a great drug but sometimes you can't remember anything if you stay up after taking it. I've been taking it almost every single day for over 10 years so I know what I'm talking about. Sweet dreams. Mike
My pcp gave me free samples , a 18 day supply . Told me if I can't afford em , give em a call and they'll supply em to me , free , can ya believe that . Gotta take the wife to town , I'll be back. ps , ha dale , ya don't think cando is gatherin body parts up fer a candofrankenstien .
Sounds like sinuses. Are you drinking enough water? If you're sinuses are clogged up, it could affect your equilibrium and make you feel like you're ready to loose your balance. Also it cause that itching sensation and clicking noise inside your ear.
Try upping your water intake. Also, take an over-the-counter sinus product to help drain your sinuses and see if that works.
Ambien gave me a $50 discount card on purchase so it paid my first $30 co-pay and $20 on the next co-pay. Every dime helps when your working stiffs. My silver spoon turned my lips green:)
While you have a spoon? Even silver spoon at that? I get my silverware by going through driveup windows and telling them they forgot. Their plastic but last a while. Man ole man your own real spoon. Next you'll be telling me you have your own tv and don't have to go to sears to watch it.
Any one notice were back to 50 comments per thread and many more threads??????? As you can see don't take much to excite me
Mike if you are still functioning and have been taking it for 10 years you are my new hero. I walked into a door way and busted my nose one night and never knew I was walking until I heard the crunch of my nose against wood. Thanks for taking time to talk to me about it. Doc tried me on Lunesta but had zero affect on me. From one ambien fog to another. Dale
Ah please I have TOTAL Ambien amnesia - I have to Tivo all my favorite shows because the next day I've forgotten them so completely and totally when I watch them again I mostly don't even remember that I ever did.
I used to love to read before bedtime but now my book has lasted a few months. Everything I read I have to read AGAIN.
Fun with Ambien wooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooo :)
I think we need to light the torches and get the villagers together. Doesn't fishdoc have a pitchfork we could use?
LOL Moths.........glue..........mothtraps..........giant flying moths
My daughter REALLY just ordered a butterfly farm - she has to do a project for science to graduate where she has to grow butterfies out of the little inch worms...I laughed so hard I meant to tell you it reminded me of you MothMan when I heard about it (I was looking at them yesterday they are going to be Monarch's though LOL).
says.... I have to Tivo all my favorite shows...............
So you have a tv to?........Oh hi there
Moths, you may have it. That may explain those little spots I see that flicker all around me in the dark. :)
Hepcinla: The weather here in Memphis has been on a roll and I am subject to sinus problems. That could have a lot to do with it. I have elevated blood pressure so doctor won't let me take any sinus meds right now. If it isn't one thing its another - right. I still think Jim is onto something with the moths though. Explains a lot especially the waking up and swatting at the air at night until my wife gets my arms tied securely behind me :)
Yup. Moths will truly drive you nuts. Look at what happened to me. You might try some of those steriod inhalers (nasonex, rhinocort, etc) for the sinuses. They'll also help with allergies and this is the season. Sometimes breathing steam also helps -- Vicks has a small face inhaler -- just keep it on the table like it says in the directions and move your face toward the inhaler DO NOT MOVE THE INHALER TOWARD YOUR FACE or the boiling water can scald you. I'm talking first hand experience here;)
Also, you might try nasal rinse -- either something 0TC like simply saline or go to a health food store and buy a neti pot. Antihistimes are also worth trying if your doc allows.
Lastly, if the sinuses get really bad you might to have a CAT scan. I was on antibiotics for around a third of treatment and part of the reason was sinus issues. But in case it is moths, vacuum out your ears first. Speaking of which, keep them dry at all times so the infection doesn't spread. Little sterile cotton balls dipped in a little vaseline should keep the water out.
Just make sure the directions are in English. LOL.
All the best,
Jim
I remember something from the early 60s. If you were a male of a certain age and immigrate to the US, you were drafted to the military.
I bet they learned English then.
Holy Mooly:
You actually remember the 60's. Bong!
I lived in a military town when I was young and we had a lot of Phillipino US soldiers there and they new perfect English. In fact the town was its own little melting pot but everyone knew English even though there were a lot of sub-cultures with other lanuguages. We all went to school together and we all stood each morning and said the pledge of allengiance to the flag. If the Constitution and bill of rights were written in Slovanian then we should all read slovanian and speak slovanian as our major language. You remember the 60's ha! Dale
Finaly I got my PCR after 8 week on treatment.. UND!!!!!!
While that is great news, Congrats
Congratulaltions illona. Thanks for sharing the good news.
Dale, I've been an insomniac since I was 30 years old and that's a long time ago. I don't advocate sleeping drugs but when you need them they're a life saver. I know a famous movie and TV director/producer and I was talking to him about 11 years ago. He told me then that he'd been taking Ambien for many years. I asked him what dose he took and he said 10 mg. I have been taking 10 mg. since I started taking the drug and I have never needed to increase the dose. I think that's a very positive attribute of Ambien.
Mike
