Blood after Injection

To the Group of Knowledge
23/24 injections and this is the first time a little blood came from the injection point.
Problem? No Problem? Did I screw up badly. This is easier then calling my nurse.

hehe - I'm too freaked to 'pull back' in case there IS blood in the syringe.      I get the blood spot more often than not (I love it when I don't!!!!), and same a Epiphany, I'm careful to sterilse and band-aid.

Wow 23/24 injections - I guess you WOULD be worried that you were going to muck up on the last 2 lol!!!!!   Well done :-).

Very common.  Usually bleed from the injection site just a bit.  I've even injected after pullling back the syringe and seeing some blood come back in the syringe.  If that happens were are told to throw away the syringe and inject with a new one.  I didn't but I had one heck of a bruise for a while.

About 50% of the time I also have a wee spot of blood once I remove the needle.  I think it has to do with whether I pierce the skin smoothly and swiftly or whether I falter slightly just before the needle goes in.  It doesn't seem to have any ill effect on me and as far as I know has not affected the efficacy of the shot.

I make sure I sterilize the spot with a clean alcohol swab and cover the area with a small dressing to prevent any infection.

It's not a big deal...you managed to nick a blood vessel @ the injection site...after you hit yourself so many times, it's bound to happen.

I'm curious, tho...did you toss the hit or inject?  Either way, not a problem...I'm just thinking that the stuff is so pricey, I'm wondering if I'll toss it if/when I draw blood.
