Does it mean the virus is back

My brotherhas acirrhosis and took sovsldi + olysio and has been not detected since his second week. The first month after  he finished the treatment the lab result  finished the treatment his lab result came and it was <15. does it mean that the virus is coming back?

My brother who has cirrhosis has been undetected (target not detected) since week 2 of his treatment using sovaldi + olysyo. Now after one month he finished the treatment the lab result says <15. Does it mean the virus is coming or  something else?

Does he have, or can he get a copy of the Lab results?  That way, you all can look at the results for yourselves and see exactly how it was spelled out:

  either  <15 Detected.   or
             < 15 UnDetected.

The less than 15 UNDetected is what we are all shooting for.  See if he chas or can get a copy of that paper, tell us exactly what it says, if it is not clear to y'all, and we have many on here with LOTS of exoenience who can 'interpret' the results.

Good luck to you and your brother.

Hi there, like flyinlynn said there should be an UND next to the <15

I would definitely have him call the doctor if you can't find it.
It sounds to me as if he is undetectable which is a good thing

Take care, keep in touch :)

Hi Fred

What does hi doctor say? Does the result also say either detected or indetected 15 maybe the min detectable by the test so it maybe saying below detectable best to ask his doctor.

Also this is not a chat but more of a posting area it may take hours or days for a response

Good luck to you both
Lynn
