Hep C transmission through thorns/prickles?

so i was disposing of some large quantities of branches and about half of them had prickles on them, and at some point i found 2 "dumster diver" rummaging through the branches, and later when i was dumping the branches they got stuck so i had to get in there and yank them a bit.

I was wearing gloves, but those were easily penetrated they only really protected against cuts, the prickles have had a tendency to easily break of when they penetrate something, i didn't get any deep stings that i really felt, i found some little prickle remains in my skin later but they might have been from previous days, there was no visible bleeding and i tried to avoid the areas that the 2 other guys touched as much as possible, from what i know the "dumster divers" don't use drugs.

Do i need to worry/test?

Hep c requires blood from a hep c positive person to enter the blood stream of an uninfected person. It requires blood to blood contact. There is no evidence of someone becoming infected in the manner you have described.

If concerned wait 12 weeks and get tested and if you are somehow infected from this incident or anytime in the past simply get treated and cured either way no worries.
