Do you have to eat 30 mins prior to taking Incivek

The nurse representing Incivek told me to eat 30 mins prior to taking Incivek - The website says within 30 mins of taking Incivek.
I would like to eat at the time I take the Incivek so I do not have to get up 30 mins early in the morning.
Does anyone have any recommendations or could you tell me what you are doing?

Just a note on weight gain.  Fat = 9 calories/gram x 20 grams x 3 times a day = 540 x 7 days = 3780 fat calories per week.  1 Pound of body fat = 3500 calories.

If the average person burns 2200 calories per day and we have to have 540 of them as fat, this leaves us with around 1700 calories for the rest of the day to stay at our current weight.

If one pound of fat = 3500 calories, to gain 5 lbs in one week, you have to eat 17,500 more calories than you burn (2200/day x 7 = 15,400) or a total of 33,000 calories per week.  Dat's a lota food!

Maybe its all the water. (7 lbs. per gallon)

Effects of Food on Oral Absorption

The systemic exposure (AUC) to telaprevir was increased by 237% when telaprevir was administered with a standard fat meal (containing 533 kcal and 21 g fat) compared to when telaprevir was administered under fasting conditions. In addition, the type of meal significantly affects exposure to telaprevir.
Relative to fasting, when telaprevir was administered with a low-fat meal (249 kcal, 3.6 g fat) and a high-fat meal (928 kcal, 56 g fat), the systemic exposure (AUC) to telaprevir was increased by approximately 117% and 330%, respectively. Doses of INCIVEK were administered within 30 minutes of completing a meal or snack containing approximately 20 grams of fat in the Phase 3 trials. Therefore, INCIVEK should always be taken with food (not low fat).

Do you know the medical reason why we have to take 20 fat gms at all?  I've only been on triple tx inc for a week and have gained 5 lbs already.  Take about depression!!!

Incivek can be taken immediately after eating or up to 30 minutes after eating 20 grams of fat. You do not have to wait 30 minutes to take the pills. This is according to the prescribing information provided by Vertex.
