Anywhere from 3 to 12 days. First they run the real time PCR which only takes a few days. If it comes out negative they use the Transcription-mediated amplification (TMA) method, which takes several days.
Even though it's nerve wracking, the longer the wait, the better news that is coming for you. When they ran my TMA it was collected on the 9th, and reported on the 21st. ( 12 days )
Thanks for your quick response. God BlessYou!
Mine generally take about 2 - 3 weeks.....Thats going thru the VA....I have no clue otherwise.
Mine used to take longer when I was with Quest Labs. Now I'm with Lab Corp. and it's faster, less than a week.
The big horn is exactly right. I was going nuts waiting for my first heptimax results and mad at everyone in the medical career for making me wait. Then I found out that quest sends them out to Calif. for the second portion, and if it takes a while, that means good news. I predict good news coming your way soon!
