I to have been prescribed the xanax due to at the beginning of treatment i thought they were anxiety attacks .25 milligrams which is a low dosage is what was prescribed i am taking about 2 to 3 a day which i hate to do but it does seem to help, i am much better towards the end of the day, the mornings when i get up my ears seem to be a little kind of clogged and that weird feeling which i cannot describe in the chest with kind of shortness of breath and feels as my heart is beating in my throat. of course the cough is there and the clearing of throat with flem. I used to smoke but i quit over 6 years ago. Did you have these issues before you started treatment with the hypertension etc? thanks Tony
