Glad to here you can up the Riba. Good luck with it. I hope I can stay at 800 but i probably weigh less then you. 800 is easy.
i also am so much better....took me a couple weeks off the incivek...i found that if i put the needle in the procrit and then pull it out until its maybe only a little bit left in...then i draw real slow...all the way on the needle...then i push the needle up past the procrit and tap the needle as well as push out the air...then i pull the needle back one more time until its barely in the procrit..i draw again and get very few bubbles this way....at the end of the needle prep i tap a few more times to get all the air out...then i shoot away...or to be honest my girlfriend shoots away...i don't love that procrit shoot...btw ...tomorrow i'm going up to my riba from 800 to 1000......billy
I'm with you on feeling wonderful! I think no Incivik n no active virus may be the key. I was only 1 pill reduced on RIBA for less than 2 weeks. I'm still at 90 on peg cause of tanked labs. It's been 4 weeks of that. I'm hoping I'll get to go back up, but my doc said w cirrhotics, it's about enduring 48 weeks n they'd rather be slow n steady. UND since week 4. Isn't it great to know the rest of the tx won't be SO exhausting? Enjoy the nrg!!! Karen :)
I give the shots to myself. It takes me forever to fill the procit needle. I wish they would come filled with the medicine . It's definitely hard to get all the air out and the medicine in. It always makes me want to cry for some reason when I'm done with the procrit shot.
i do it my self ..it is better then going to the dr office all the time.. its no big deal like indy says ..painless ...
I give mine myself-shot 4 last night and absolutely painless-didnt feel the needle at all and I inject in abdominal areas only.
the treatments for hep, C. shots. do you give them yourself or do you have to go somewhere and get them?
yes they are powerful drugs...im pretty sure that means they are going to cure us
Such encouraging words. So glad that you are feeling better. Gee, Isnt it over due ! Good for you, I hope thing keep going up and up for you. These drugs are just so darn powerful its amazing !
no... not dorky... when i can finally go out and walk on the beach and feel good i swear im gonna be laughing and crying at the same time. I always did appreciate what i had but now its gonna be out of control ..haha
..this changes you forever you cant go back unless you are in total denial
...it raises the bar on what is really worth complaining about
It does feel so good climbing that mountain. I just love to walk and sit in the park and look at the trees. Sounds so dorky right??? I hope I can hold on to that feeling and never forget.
hi,
i feel better too.!!! .i just did my 16th shot wed night .. i struggled with incivek ... but i finally feel better ..i dont feel like partying but i feel calm i look better and all my blood counts are slowly but surely going up... so yeah ... i know its not the same for everyone and we all have varying degrees of health conditions ...but i think i can honestly say that if you can get thru the 3 months of incivek it starts getting better .. i feel like i can go out in the world now and not look like a vampire..i feel like i climbed a dark mountain and now i'm on the other side and i feel the down hill slide ....it is such a good feeling to be starting to get better !!
just hang in there if you are still climbing that mountain...
Going on shot 14 tomorrow, feel a world of difference since no incevik. A few small sides, itching, diarrhea and slight fatigue but nothing like week 8 thru 12. So glad that's behind me. Have a slight sore throat and some sinus pressure but I think I may have a sinus infection, daughter had the same thing. If I can get rid of this I'll be fine. Even went back to the gym this week after work. Joe
its so funny we are so close on this tx...i feel great too...ready for 15 sunday.but i did stop the incivek 3 or 4 days before you....maybe we needed an" adjustment time."...i won't say withdrawals.....just time to adjust off the incivek....i hope so this is way way easier...good luck....billy
I haven't started treatment yet and when I do it will be with
Vic, but your words are VERY encouraging for those that are struggling with the last few weeks/days of INC.
thanks for sharing and I hope the good days continue to UND!!!!!
