severe headaches

I am having severe headaches the day right after I take my injection of Pegasus.  Does anyone have recommendations on how to get these migrane headches under control?  I also have a foggy brain, loose track of time, and am very forgetful.  Thanks, VioletBlonde

Are you drinking half your body weight in water every day? (Ie you weigh
120 you drink 60 oz of water). It really does help. I am prone to migraines so I always took two tylenol or advil with my shot, helps keep the fever away and the headaches too.

If they keep up speak to your doctor he might be willing to give you something strong for shot day.

These are side effects from the meds. You can try a cool wash rag on your forehead. If your platelets are low, you can take aspirin.
And medicinal cannabis works well too.

As far as the brain fog goes, you can only be aware of it, and make changes in your life to compensate. Write things down when you think of them, because you won't remember. Use a pill reminder, these types of things.
Don't hesitate to tell others, " I'm sorry I'm forgetful, it's a because of my medication."

Good luck

Hi.  Sorry to hear this.  Having suffered with migraines for years, the thing that helped the most was staying hydrated.  Water, water, water.  Potassium too, bananas are a good source.  Lower your sodium intake and have your blood pressure checked too.  One last thing, take 2 Advil about 45 minutes prior to your injection and see if that helps (if it's OK with your docs).  Because of the stress of tx, you may also benefit from a chiropractic neck adjustment.

My nurse suggested I take Tylenol an hour before
the injection. I did and I haven't had another headache.

I think headaches are one of those problems that can come an
go from time to time. Hope you feel better.

Still have fog of the brain. It has caused me some problems and makes
me real cautious when driving. It goes and comes too. I don't have a remedy.

Hi, sorry to hear of the head aches, I was told that I could take ibuprofen however you probably should ask the doctor what he feels you can take.
There were times on tx that I had no choice but to lay down or I would have fallen down.
Good luck

I had severe headaches the day after the injection and then backaches the day after that by the next day around lunch I would start to feel better. I used Tylenol #1, which are available OTC in Canada. In the US I think you would need a prescription. Take 2 #1 for the headache or backache as required. Or take 1 #2 with a regular Tylenol. Worked for me. As with any medication, especially while on TX, use only when absolutely necessary. As for the foggy brain, nothing that I know of will really help with that.

I don't have the headaches, but I've seen several other members posting about severe headaches. The brain fog is definitely a common side effect though, and I do have that - with a vengeance! Short-term memory loss, inability to concentrate, and personally I also notice that I just become very much disengaged from whatever is happening around me. I can't participate in group activities very long before my brain just feels too tired and I start to withdraw, whether I want to or not. I wish I did have some tricks to help keep the fog away, but I don't – sorry!
