I hope you have better luck that I did.  My GI's office said they tried but because I had ins there was no help.  At that time I wasn't a member here and did not know that I could (simple me) go to bat for myself.  I don't think the GI tried very hard if at all and we just about lost our house & commercial property over it.  Call yourself you will have better luck.  Good luck

They didn't even ask me to provide last years tax papers to tell you the truth just the denial paperwork from the insurance company for my extension of treatment. They delivered them straight to the house for free and everything. My insurance paid my doctor visits and tests and everything else except copays which are normal.

Yes, probably. The manufacturers of HCV meds provide Patient Assistance Programs that you might qualify for if you live in the U.S. I've personally used one, and it helped immensely.

These programs are income rather than asset based; gather up last years federal 1040 form, along with a photocopy of the letter of refusal from your Rx insurance company, and call whichever number applies to you:

Pegassist (Roche Pegasys system): 1-877-734-2797

Commitment to Care (Schering- Plough PEG-Intron system): 1-800-521-7157

Good luck—
