Food Risk

Excuse my ignorance but is it possible to get hepatitis c if positive blood got on food that you are? At work we got some boxed salad and I saw a mark on my box. I thought it was just juice from the beetroot but then when I saw the colour of the actual beetroot juice I realised it definately wasn't beetroot juice. When I looked closed I realised it was wet blood. I had no cuts on my hands. I'm concerned that the blood could have got in the salad and I are a couple of mouthfuls. Should I be worried? Thanks for your help

"Should I be worried?"
______________

NO!

Hepatitis C isn't that easy to get.   You would have to get someone's Hepatitis C infected blood into your blood stream.   What you described isn't a real risk.
Food isn't a good transmitter of Hepatitis C.

Best to you
