Test Results

I got my results back for my antibody test and they were .49 s/c ratio negative.   I'm just confused cause how can it be negative if there are antibodies on the results? Wouldn't it have to be 0 to be a true negative?

No...This is likely  just some antibody signal  to some other condition not related to HCV that is why they consider a AB reading of  >1  to be more precise for Positive HCV   with follow up tests suggested
