Geno 3 - 24wk SOC, NO RVR, 8 week test UND

Hi, I lurked here quite a bit during my treatment but didn't post much at all.  However I did find it very helpful to read the posts here, so thank you for all the support!

I am 42 year old male, never had a biopsy but my ultrasounds came back with comments like "inflammation consistent with moderate liver disease".  My doc didn't think there was much chance of cirrhosis, but I so suspect my liver took a bit of a beating from its 17 years with hep c.

I did 24 week pegasys with 1200 riba daily.  My 4 week test came back positive, and I  think the sensitivity of the test was 15 (sorry I don't know the details to get more specific than that)

My 8 week into tx test was und.  When trying to research how good my chances were I found that there was not much info for geno 3s who didn't RVR but became und at week 8

In canada there is no option to get coverage for going more than 24 weeks with type 3, and I was quite nervous about the whole thing.  My hep c nurse tried to score me some extra drugs, but was shot down.

but she did manage to score me a 12 week post tx test, and it is UND

yahoo!

The read is a little confusing but agree with can-do-man.  If you have completed your second treatment and the post 12 wk PCR was UND, SVR is eminent.
