Kalio1- Thanks, the 10 yr old is wonderful. The 4yro though looks just like her mom when she was her age, didn't appreciate what was in my life then, made it pretty special last night.
Hands are a mess-but on a related note-In desperation today when the itchiness kicked in(mostly on my lower legs and back) I went on a mission. The American Gold Bond itch spray that seemed to work the last 2 days was doing nothing for it today. Back to the hunt-down to the hall closet that contained assorted stuff left over from the 54 yrs my family has been here. Bingo- a can of solarcaine sunburn first aid spray, fearfully I checked the expiration date ...1986. Aw Go for it. Immediate relief. Only problem, everytime I sprayed an area(including my hands where it also worked)-the itch popped up someplace else. Like trying to roll up a large air mattress or sleeping back, get one air pocket out, there's another one. So far, well, though only tempoary relief, I can't wait to buy a new can to put in the closet.
cuteus-Glad your posting this. Felt pretty guilty the week of my 2nd shot when i passed up a chance to accompany the support group from the Va to Hartford for a liver disease walk.I gotta start walkin the walk, know what I mean.
Stay Well All,
Don
nothing is posted on their site yet for the NYC MArch in the Summer, but the Wash, DC March is booked for this year

LOLA organized last year's gathering in NYC, but have not finalized anything this year yet. It does not matter what group sponsors it, as long as it brings a face to the illness for all to see that anyone can be affected, and we show by numbers that it is not an invisible, obscure disease.
You know when I set up the offer with my daughter at Xmas, I just figured it wouldn't be on shot night. When she called yesterday I hesitated, but then figured aww I don't do my shot til about 11 anyways. So it was no real problem Sat. Although I had fun spending almost 2 hrs playing cards,a rather funny and bizarre form of war, with the 4yr old, the grandkids were having such a good time with my 14yr old I ended up doing my regular chores mostly. Injection didn't even matter much when they woke me at 4am cause the 4 yr old had gotten sick in bed.(NO junk food that night either, still happens). BUT Sunday I was counting on the 14yro going out with his other Grandfather in from NM,which he did, and my daughter was to p/up the kids by noon, so I could rest. She changed it til 3 and I did practically jump for joy at 2pm when the 4yro suddenly took a nap. MAN, I was tired. Glad I did it though. The're already makin plans for soon again. It's hard sometimes on my son, w/no kids around. Next time though, maybe Friday night.
Be well
Don
No, sadly rumours of my completion have been grossly exagerated.....
I have not read anything that makes any type of correlation between genotype and how tx is handled. They are all hep c virus and the genotypes are subspecies of that one virus. The meds are affecting your body the same.
goof; you crossed the finish line? and out of breath?
here is to a much speedy recovery AND svr, of course.
Had my 24 week PCR last week. I've got my fingers crossed for both of us!
