Nauseous feeling in stomach after eating other posts

Hi there.  I've been coming on here from time to time again.  I'll be at 6 mon. post in another week.  I won't find out what my LFT's are until about 6 weeks from now.  Lately, though, I've been having the nauseous feeling after I eat.  Like over the past few weeks.  Either, I'm just eating too much, the wrong thing, or my liver's acting up again, or all of the above.  It's like every time I eat a meal, I feel like puking right after it.  I still get tired easily.  It takes me until about 10-11 am to get going and then, I have to stop from fatigue in a couple of hours.  If I take about 1/2 hr break, I'm good again for a few hours. By about 7 pm., I'm wiped out again.  I realize that this could also just be middle age slump, gallbladder, or depression, or anything else.  My thyroid still falls in the normal range level, although at the low (hypo) end of what is considered normal.  My Dr. gave me an opportunity to try the Synthroid low-dose.  I did try it, but I didn't like the way it made me feel either.  It made my heart feel racing, I was nervous as all get out, like jitters.  And yet, I didn't get a whole lot more energy out of it.  It was like, nervousness, racey heart, with no increased energy.  Anyway, I'm just going to try to ignore it if I can for now.  There's really not a whole lot I can do about it since they won't treat me anymore with the current available meds and I haven't qualified for any new drugs/studies out there right now.  I just thought I'd post a note. Sorry if I've taken up a space for a non-important post.  Susan

Do not apologize for posting.  Your thread is important and you should feel free to ask for support.  That is why this forum is here.
Keep the chin up, you will try again and succeed.  Wow, synthroid worked real good for me, had to up it on tx, but went right back in check.  Are they going to try another type of medication on your thyroid.  Not all have the same effect on people. I would try suggesting another try with a different type, the thyroid can really play hard ball with your body. (My opinion)  I did feel a whole lot better once they were in check.

Sorry things are not going so well, but you will over come this one day.  Keep fighting, you are a fighter.

I'm a big fan of ginger tea. I take whole ginger root, grate it and put it in a tea ball, pour boiling water over it, let steep and drink. It has worked to get rid of nausea for me AND ginger is good for your liver.   Good luck.
p.s. I thought you were eating posts, too!

Have you had your gallbladder checked? Does your doctor know haow bad you've been feeling? I'm like SFbay girl, I have to take meds for my gastro-reflux, especially after eating other posts. Just kidding, hope you don't take offense.
Seriously I hate my digestive system system and would love to trade it in for a new one, along with my liver!
When I was pregnant, ginger was the only thing that calmed my stomach. I ate it in Chinese food, cookies or tea.
Good luck, don't apologize for posting! I feel uncomfortable starting a post, but I love to jump in on them.

Susan, 6 months is still pretty soon to be totally feeling normal and as many times as you have been on tx also will probably take much more then some others.  Everyone has some good suggestions and I know when my stomach is upset, tea with peppermint seems to settle it.  I drank so much of that while on tx and you can find it at grocery store,,,think its the celestial teas.  Hope you start feeling better soon!

Susan, I am putting myself on a limb here, but have you thought about chinese herbal medicines?

Since you can't treat with anything now, you could help yourself with the herbs.  My Chinese herbal doctor is well known around the world, he comes from a long line of medical doctors in China, fourth generation and  a brilliant doctor when it comes to viruses. He could at least get you in shape for the next treatment.

If you want more information you can contact me at ***@****

Just wanting to help.

susan, I hope you feel better soon, and hopefully, time and maybe even some supplementation (per anise' post)(course, we're not talking about elimating the virus, just some healing) could help you, along with a really good diet, rest and some excercise, get you back to feeling more healthy...best of luck to you...

susan, drink green tea with a tablespoon of lemon juice.  if u squeeze half a lemon in ur mouth, u will find that ur nausea disappears instantly. also, include lettuce and fresh tomatoes in ur meal.
if u visit an homeopathic store, get a 30x dilution of Ipeca. take a drop of it half n hr after ur meal.

Hi,,,My spleen is enlarged and low platelets. I get very full fast.My favorite food is now salads and fresh veggies with Ranch Dressing.I can hardly look at steak or chicken these days.I will try and be nice as an invited guest,,,but I know the liver wants no part of it....Try and use the old fashion food group pyramid...It might help..

you may need armour thyroid instead of synthroid.  if you go to this site you will learn why.  www.stopthethyroidmadness.com.
sometimes you have to take adrenal suppport as well so handle the thyroid meds.  those of us whove been thru intfereron tx.  have defintely had our adrenals exhausted.
i had the same heart racing stuff from thyroid meds.  i had to start very very slow.  im still working at it.   keep us posted on your results and progress...

I to find that I occassionally feel nauseous for no clear reason. Other times, I'll make dinner and when it's done there is just no way I can eat it. Sometimes, it looks and smells downright disgusting and I'm not THAT bad of a cook. I'll just snack on crackers and cheese or something till it passes. The sx from this stuff can be really annoying.

I am sorry, Susan, I agree with trying bland food.  Something that really helped me was fresh ginger.  Do you like ginger?  I get the root.  You can make it into a tea.  I think you juice sometimes?  If you do, you can add fresh ginger in your juicer.  Most people don't like this, well.. actually, I don't think anybody I've suggested it to does, but it works for me.  I shave off a few slices and eat it plain.  I like it and it works rapidly.  Try it, okay?  And let me know.
