thx also for anwer.
the prof. said the high alt means only that the inflamation is higher as usual but means not that there is a faster damage going on now.and that the alt numbers can vary from time to time
my hyaluronat (should be a fibro-indicator test) showed 12.he said this is very good,as till 60 is in the norm.
I'm sorry to hear about your non-response.
I would not worry about the viral load though at this time, since you are not treating at the moment. It can swing immensely. It is not of great importance when you are off treament.
I hope you will get into a trial fairly soon. The PI's are so promising.
All the best, marcia
You are right that is pretty high an alt.
I don't know the status of what they are doing with the trials in Switzerland but at least you are in a beautiful country (not that i have ever been there) while you find where you need to go.
I am sure that you will do great once you get on one of the PIs...you did respond just not all the way (i mean you got down to 300 right?) so once you add one in bang - hep will be gone for good.
Don't get discouraged. Many people in here are relapsers who have had GREAT and total success because of the new drugs.
Good luck.
thx so much for answer bill,
im a nonresponder genotyp 1a.before i started thera i was at 350000.
i made therapy last year, after the biopsy showed f3 ,but couldnt clear from the hcv.
(virlal load gone from 360000 to 300 after 24 weeks,at 48 weeks at 5000 again).so im a nonresponder
i have to wait to get a place for trials with telaprevir or boceprevir as soon as possible.
but now, i only can wait and this is soo frustrating.
my other labs results look o.k just my alt is very high 148.
btw im from europe switzerland
Hi Rexx,
Unfortunately, I believe “HCV-RNA 1.9E+05” translates as 190,000. Does this reflect results from a post treatment test? If so, it appears you might have relapsed. Contact your doctor for further interpretation,
Bill
