Risk of hepatitis c from sewing needle

Hello
While I was sewing course for crafts I got an 1cm cut to my finger. Some blood had come. I washed my hand with soap. Then I asked my teacher if any other students get this kind of accidents she said yes. I dont think that that needles got disinfected.  I got vaccibated for hepatitis B but do you think that is it possible to get Hepatitis c this way.  I am worried because of other unknown health situation fir these students. Thank you very much in advance.

The risk of infection from a hollow bore needle known to be infected with hcv tainted blood is 1.8%, so considering it was a solid needle and the chance it actually had hcv tainted blood on it and it got into you bloodstream are very very very slim I would say that risk of infection is super extremely low to non existent. If your worried get tested.

Have a great day
