My Pegasys comes in already filled syringes, so there is no left overs. You might want to check into that.   Best wishes.    Joni

So good to hear from you! I think of you often and wonder how you're doing. I've long been curious about this high powered job of yours.

I hear your anxiety about not being with your children. I've been a working mom for nineteen years and my husband has been a househusband during all that time. Sometimes I used to go crazy with missing my kids, especially missing the big moments when my son was a baby.

But its turned out just fine. The kids have turned out great. I think its helped them to come from a non-traditional family setup. Perhaps its made them more thoughtful; certainly its made them more willing to accept differences in others.

If anything, its encouraged my kids to be independent thinkers. They don't believe that "just because everybody else" does something that its necessarily the right thing to do. Plus, its shown them that they can make their lives into the ones they want, not necessarily the ones that people expect them to lead.

My son is still in high school. He writes poetry. My daughter is just graduating college--from a prestigious film school--and plans on going into experimental animation.

I think in the long run, the most important thing is for kids to see their mothers happy. For daughters especially, its very nice for them to see their mothers succeeding in the workforce.

I'm sure you're a terrific mother and that's what really counts. Its not how much time you spend with them, but the quality of that time.

Best,
GB

Just read your posting, what is your husband's platelet count now? Mine's is 30, still taking 1/2 dose interferon but having no major bleeding, just a little while brushing teeth. He also gets cramping periodically, is your husband taking calcium? Seems they are in the same boat, with us two doing the paddling!! Keep up your spirits, things will get better.

I've missed you so much and wondered how you and your husband are doing.  You know, you're in that 'ol timer' club and now I am too as I'm beginning my 34th weeks treatment.  I am undetectable and moving forward to my 48 weeks.

Wow, how the time is passing. And remember when you told me to put on my glasses and look around when I was in my beginning stages of treatment and I was suffering so much with a lot of it - well from that day forward I actually have 'put on my glasses' and glad that you suggested that to me.  I've printed out and kept for all of these days my post and how you answered back to me.

Thank you for being you, thank you for checking in on us and thank you for your husband and all of us.  Welcome back  - hay look through the posts and notice all the new people  - see I told you we are in the ol timers group!!!

couch//// platelet levels hover around 28-37.
Yikes!  not good, eh?  But, not 0 either!  :)

downthisroad _  LOL!  ok...Did you know that it is time for an adjustment on those glasses?  Take another look...life is full of color and just waiting for you.  )

My friends...thank you so much for being here for us.

I am struggling so much, but not as hard as hubby.  God has been so good to our little family. My job is such a blessing!  It was far above my abilities....and pay scale, but in order for our family to make it, I needed this job...and needed to do well.
It is crazy, but I have been able to "fake" it until I learned to do what I needed to do....and I learned...very quickly.

If I can step out and do the impossible...all of you can do tx and thrive!  Tx is far harder than what I have accomplished!

(P.S.  Working this job was not my choice...but just like you on tx, I'm doin' it anyway.)  LOL!  Best wishes!  Let us determine that we keep on no matter what comes our way!

Your,

Shebee

Hi everyone!  I have missed all of you so very much.  Finally, I have a day off.  As most of you know, hubby did 24 weeks of peg&riba, but did not clear.  He is 2b, at cirrohsis 4-2.
The old doctor suggested that he just forget about tx.  We switched doctors and he started on daily shots of infergen and co-pegus.  He'll be doing 48 more weeks.  He has a few months under his belt now.  Last month he started on Procrit again. His platelet count is so low.

Yesterday he had a nosebleed which lasted 1/2 hour.  Last week he went the to grocery store and had leg cramps so bad that he had to sit down next to his cart on the floor for a long time.  That had to be so tough for Mr. Macho. Everyone kept asking him if he needed help.

He is staying at home while I am working.  In order for us to survive, I am still working 50-60 hours a week.  The good news:
I have moved right to the top.  LOL!  Everyone thinks that I am such a wiz!  LOL!  If they only knew...  I really am not competive at all.  What drives me to be the best is my little family. Each day I determine within myself that I will survive, I will be honest, and do my very best....and that my family will eat.  :)

If I don't cut it, we will starve.  :)

I miss being Mommy! It is so hard to watch our children grow up without me.  I just hope that someday they will understand why that I am gone so much.

This time around, I couldn't imagine hubby working.  He is very sick and so tired, but when he clears, it will all be worth it!

His mental outlook is fairly good.  He still does not need the anti-depressants.  He really tries to avoid any other meds because he feels that it would be an additional burden on his altready "tx"ed  body.

Last week the flu hit our home.  Everyone was sick with it except hubby.  The antiviral meds must keep any virus at bay???
For days now, we have burned with fever and our bodies have been racked with chills. We are like a walking zombies with smiles plastered on our faces.

My hat is off to all of you!  I can't even begin to think about what all of you go through on a daily basis.  I wish that I could meet every one of you; I would be proud to call you my friends.

Best wishes to you all.  I do keep an eye on you and pray for you, even though I am unable to respond at this time.

Thanks for just being here,
Your,
Shebee

I'll take your offer up and post here BC thanks.

Does anyone take the extra tx when doing your injection or do you discard it? If you took or take the extra did you notice a change in your sx? Just wondering. Anyone? LL
