Harvoni - Asthma issues?

Howdy everyone.  Finished my 8 weeks of Harvoni with un-detectable VL and now waiting until it is time to take my SVR-12 tests. Fingers crossed.

2 weeks into Harvoni I had a severe asthma attack, which required drugs to stop.  Never had asthma before.  Slowly got worse over time with breathing problems, coughing.  Finished my 8 weeks of treatment and it got significantly worse, sometimes severe.

I'm seeing a pulmonologist and I suspect/hope it will resolve over time.

Now it is *possible* that I coincidentally contracted asthma during my treatment but it seems more likely they are related somehow.

Anyone hear of any related breathing issues during treatment?  Any chatter about nutrient depletion (that manifests in me as asthma)?  I couldn't find anything.

Did those of you with pre-existing asthma notice it get worse?

I have had severe diminished lung function after tx with Harvoni. Currently on 24-7 oxygen , nebulizer tx, inhalers and now prednisone. Many chest x-Rays, CT scan and Bronchoscopy. Never had breathing issues before Harvoni.

Can you point me in the direction where you found the people talking about diminished lunch function.  I've had no luck.

Hi I looked for information about breathing problems and found many people complaining about diminished lung function.  It should improve over time.  I found some drug interactions with Harvoni thought it might help to check. There are 9 major one, 316 total.  Good luck

Hi there, I have heard of people who experienced breathing problems  which did improve over time, I will try to find additional information.
Try to drink water to help.
