Hello, everyone above has given good advice.
I have read that while the liver doesn't hurt there is a sack around it that can hurt if the liver is enlarged.
I have had pain in that area however later realized it was the colon/intestines that are up there. Gas pain can be very painful. So painful at times I could not move. Also the gallbladder can cause problems, do you know if you have gallstones? It would bother you after a fatty meal.
I would try some Gas X to see if that helps. Not trying to minimize your concerns, just trying to help
Good luck
Dee
Wow that is a great chart Hector. I hope you don't mind but I copied it.

Where exactly is the pain you feel? Can you locate it on this chart?

Pain in the liver is very rare. There are other causes abdominal pains that are much more common especially if your liver blood results are normal. GERD and gallstones are many times more likely cause of abdominal pain people experience.
Also can do describe the pain.
Sharp, dull, comes in waves?
How long does the pain last?
How long have you had this pain?
Does the pain also radiate into your lower back, shoulder, groin, or buttocks?
Are you currently taking any medications or herbal supplements?
Do you have a fever?
Have you been injured recently?
Are you pregnant?
Does any activity such as eating or lying on one side relieve the pain?
Have you been injured recently?
Any pain in the abdomen is not good. Pain means something is wrong. There is a whole lot more in the abdominal area then the liver.
Cheers!
Hector
No biopsy,,have no insurance now after 30+ years got sick had to leave my job,,all I've got now is a Clinic that sees me on a sliding scale which I can't afford anyway,,I feel with no insurance I'm just left to die,,,thanks for your reply ,,,
Have you had a biopsy?
Lab tests do not give you a complete picture of the condition of your liver. If your Dr. doesn't know that I would try to get a referral to a Hepatologist.
Good luck
