Sun and heat are bad for rash. That is what I found. Keep your skin moisturized ...CeraVe moisturizing cream is a good cream. Sometimes the rash doesn't get so terrible for some....drink lots of water!

Well, my rash has been extremely variable in form. I've only recently (week 31 or thereabouts) started having any bumps (2 so far) that look anything at all like whiteheads, but the variability has been so great that it doesn't surprise me that yours could take that form. I mostly get lots of small red bumps, a smaller number of large red bumps, and I always seem to have one or two going that are big welts, like hives. Those are the worst for itching. About week 6 or 7 is when the rash first started really annoying me, so you are right on schedule even if the bumps aren't quite the most typical. I hope someone else will join in who has experienced more of this form of rash!

Do your very best to resist the urge to scratch or you will probably really regret it. I broke down a few times and it always made the rash much worse, plus gave me huge bruises because of my low platelet count. Do you have a Rx for a topical steroid cream yet? Most people need that sooner or later. General recommendations include keeping the area as cool as possible, especially at night, use mild soaps with no anti-bacterial or deodorant additives, moisturize well after showering, wear loose and lightweight clothing. Many people find Gold Bond Medicated Powder to help sooth the itch. If it really drives you nuts some people have also found relief in bathing with oatmeal added, or in applying cold compresses. Remember that the rash can on rare occasions turn into a life-threatening problem, so if it goes beyond a mild-to-moderate rash do be sure to tell your treating physician promptly and be prepared to get to a dermatologist for consultation. Best wishes!
