I need to have a huge lipoma removed from my leg. Should this be done before starting a 6 mo. treatment of interferon and riboviran, or can it be done during treatment?

Hi While on Tx the second time ( also a 1b) I got a hernia and couldn't find a doc that would touch it untill the end of treatment and all blood counts were above normal.

Thank you for your help.  Just what I was hoping to hear!

Mouse, when you make sure you are a bit on the careful side, does that mean no heavy lifting & other types of "labor" like moving furniture and house cleaning?  Hope it is the housecleaning!  Any excuse to procrastinate on house cleaning is welcome!

The best to both of you.  Jenn aka GrandmaBRZ

I was diagnosed with an abdominal wall hernia when I had my liver CT back in 2006.  It doesn't bother me either and  I have yet to have it fixed.  I just make sure I'm a bit on the careful side.

The operation of hernia isn't difficult or at high risk operation. It simple i think but you need your platelets at good level. Ask you doctor, your hepatologist and the surgeon. All the best. You will be better
