Hi I went for a routine blood test today at a new clinic. Normally I watch all medical procedures closely as I once had a nurse put a dressing on incorrectly and ended up with a nasty painful infection a couple of days later (it was awful and stank), but I can't watch injections or blood tests. I did notice the nurse put the needle on their desk just before he took the blood I think it was uncapped and I didn't see him clean the desk. If there was an invisible amount of blood on the desk that got on the needle could I get hep b or c? I know I can't get HIV but the information I've read about hep b and c is confusing. Thanks for you help.
