How far are you willing to go?

I was a paramedic and contracted Hep C, when I found out I had it, started treatment of interferon and ribavirin for 48 weeks, had a little break but found out I relapsed. (Not a good feeling). Started a second time for 72 weeks this time, but insurance wouldn't pay but for 24 more weeks, got with Roche and they agreed to give me my Meds for free, so I ended up with 96 weeks worth of meds, my gastro said no need to stop at 72 if I still got free meds coming, so Friday I took the last of 96 weeks worth so with a 3 month break I have been on this **** for a grand total of 144 weeks, for a 54 y/o man it's been a trying time. Now comes the waiting game again, but whatever the outcome, I would do it again for my family. Wonder how long the fog will last after all this time...LOL will let you know.

wow!

144 weeks!

I am only into my eleventh week. There are times when I think it's gone fast but just as many when I feel fed up. I think my husband feels exactly the same.

How on earth did you hang in there? Determination to beat it, no doubt. :)

I remember you kicking around here too. Good stuff finishing up… I ran 56 weeks, relapsed, and then went the 96. Finished up on July 18. Thanks, that is what I wanted, to let people know they can finish it, like they say you can't win if you don't play.
