Hypertension, slightly raised liver function tests

I have recently been experiencing a feeling almost like anxiety however i know that it is not this. I can't sleep at night, my heart races and i feel quite sweaty and have that feeling of being jittery. I have had recent urine testing which showed a trace of Protein. My blood work has come back showing a raised GGT of 80, triglyceride level of 2.45 and LDL-cholesterol of 4.15. I have had my blood pressure monitored over the last week and my average BP is 140/110. I am just 40 years old, slightly overweight with an average alcohol intake.
I am naturally concerned can you help with what you think it may be and suggest my next path.
Many thanks.
Jacq

Weel, we are all patients here and can only comment from our own experiences.  I for one would recommend abstinence from alcohol as it is known to raise one's blood pressure, and that was my exprience as well.  Your's seems rather high and you may want to also look to see if there are other measures (i.e. diet, exercise, etc.) which could be taken to help.  Otherwise you may have to look at medication to lower it.

The problem I had with medicating it was that for most of them, once your body develops a dependency upon the them to regulate the pressure, it often times is unable to maintain the proper pressure on it's own (i.e. you develop a life long dependency upon the medication).

Something to think about.

please consult with a physician, any questions about your tests results. This forum does not have any MDs answering questions and even if they did, the information is too little to make any good guesses.

Sounds like hyperthyroidism. Some blood tests will be needed. You should focus on this right away. Good luck
