I have been watching from a distant all that has been going on here and all those that really know me, know I stress peace and trying to help all here.

But in the last few days I've witnessed attacks on relgious beliefs, polical beliefs, whats right or wrong to post, who turned who into med help,and who's a hilly billie and who's not and who hates the French, etc the list goes on.  

America is the melting pot of the world as we all know and our ancestors come from many countries. So far what I've seen here on the forum the last few days probably has offended everyone here in one way or another.  

I'm probably going to be attacked for posting this, but I feel someone needs to.

Let's get back to what is important and get everyone to SVR.

the world of the internet offers anything from help to aggravation, it is the reality of networking.  ALthough we would like cyberworld and the real world to be one way, reality is what it is and you are correct in the statement of take it or leave it attitude. MH has terms and conditions with clear guidance as to what can and can not be posted in the forum, and you are welcome to visit that section and contact the owners with whatever concerns you might have.  If you ever heard the expression 'pick your battles' then you understand that the take it or leave it positions can come into play many times in our lives.  The post you read that day, was from the person known to be sarcastic when he posts many times. Some of us know that  and some people, because they are new, do not know it. First impressions can't be felt again, but understanding behavior can help modify them.
Like your uncle, that person relapsed after 88 wks of tx, he also has job related problems, and family's health on his mind. It is not excuse for rudeness, but an explanation for behavior.

Oh good grief. It's all my fault, and I already said yesterday that I was getting ready to go back on some meds, and apologized, and told ya'll I would do my best to control my impulsivity until I do. I really tried to stop the way that one post was going with some of my humor that SEVERELY lacked class  and it didn't work, so I will just leave those contriversial ones alone from now on...I'll really try. I really thought and hoped that SMALL response in that thread would just fade away and it bit me in the **** later...even my "name" was in the heading along with another. I have to say, I  got MANY good laughs out of it, and just love the folks that were there with me, and are here with me now... but this is not the place for things that can offend, I agree. Good Gosh. Are you guys as weary of this as I am. The really funny thing is that its all for naught. Its meaningless in each of our jouneys to the end of the task. The other "not so funny"
thing , is the amount of time we all spend with syrup dripping out of our mouths trying to get people to chill out and respect each other. If the folks that are initiating the offensive posts have that type of personality before tx , anything that anybody says trying to get them to change is wasted digital text.
What do we know about each other? Nothing. We know , sometimes , what a persons stats are and if they like to talk about poop or not. Yet , we post our personal opinions like everyones is going to agree with what we say , and then act suprised when they dont?
As mentioned above , Politics , Religon , alcohol and tobacco use , they are a no win situation. So why do we keep bringing it up?  
Why do we want , and why do we think , that other people here care what we think about the frigging president?

This is not intended as any kind of pep talk any any since of the word. I just have to say something to people that say they dont understand why things are the way they are and are , bless their hearts , trying to fix it. It wont fix. Its human nature.

We cruise around this forum and bump in to each other , sometimes apologizing or be apologized to , but a lot of the time we are running people off the road without even realizing it.
Save the Politics , Religon , alcohol and tobacco for the people you know something about or go start your own blog for whiners somewhere , but dont continue to try and assert your agenda on the rest of us.We have a disease that is hard enough to deal with in itself.

Oooh, please tell me that the intolerance or squabbling? issues you all are talking about was NOT the "p@@p" thread from yesterday.  I wasn't insulted, it was toooo funny for words!  

Perhaps my advanced age is the reason I missed the bad posts you are talking about, I have to blame advanced age as I am not on riba anymore.  Riba did make me act bad, I used to be a closet door kicker and drawer slammer.  I have since apologived to both doors and drawers and those bad behaviors did go away when I quit riba...a connection...perhaps?  

Anyway, you guys here are great, all great minds when discussing deep subjects are prone to passion.  Hep C HAS made me believe in many things passionately, perhaps since my love life is a bit diminished.  So a rousing discussion is great!!  You guys are great.  Please be here when I start maintenance in September.

Kalio -- Wow you gave up smoking at the same time as tx, that has to be tough.  I quit in 1992 but my wife still smokes.  She did quit for years but went back when her brother died in 2001.  She is saying she will quit again.  Hope your sxs are not bad this week.

Oh yeah, I wanted to say, some people are just naturally insufferable, actually enjoy offending others. They wont stop and can't be reasoned with, for them, it's fun. Having little grumbles about this or that is very different than frequent daily attacks on anybody or anything. Probably one with real psych problems. Perhaps get on meds or go away.
