Omg!!  This is the first time in over 37 years I have not had Hepatitis C!  Genotype 1a, simeprevir and sofosbuvir 12 weeks.  I'm so happy I feel like running through the streets yelling "I cleared!  I cleared!!  I'm well!!"  I know it can come back and we have scheduled visits for blood draws going out to April, but I'm not going to think about that.  I feel so good, it feels like someone gave me back the body I had 30 or 40 years ago!!!!!

That is great news and I am going to be right behind you, I have 3 more weeks to go until I am finished with Sol/Oly. The stuff is amazing! NO side effects. I only have had 1 viral load test at two weeks in and it was <15. Doc is not taking another one until Nov 6 , which is only 1 week away from EOT.

Very good news. I understand the new thinking too. Instead of preparing to die we now think about living. I am so happy for you.

Thank you for all the congratulations!!  This is a wonderful place to share good news and to receive comfort and support as well.

Bassetgirl, yes, I am cirrhotic, Child's Class A, genotype 1a.

I'm still having fatigue off and on, like today, but I know my body's been through a huge ordeal and I need to listen and rest, eat well.  But the way I can tell I'm cured is I'm having thoughts like what do I want to be for Halloween?  I think I'll paint that table a different color.  I'm going to rearrange the living room.  I'm going to the cafe and have a BLT and work on the jigsaw puzzle:  thoughts that have never even occurred to me for years.  That's how long I've been that sick.  Wow.  Even if I relapse, I've had this peek into what my life used to be and what I hope it can be again.  October 21 I turn 60 years old.  Best present I could have ever asked for is NOT DETECTED.  :)
