Congragulations so far on beating this virus. Your looking good but I would encourage you to follow Nan's advice if only for piece of mind.
Hang in there and Good Luck
......Kim
Thanks a lot for your support guys! Yes I am happy and I feel relieved and asking God to keep this virus away from me further on.
Congrats to you my friend! ! That is the best news ever, I'm sure you were doing the happy dance. You just showed the others that the Dragon doesn't win in the end as it should be. Don't forget to put your name on the list that Nan535 started "SVR or Relapse". Someone can tell you exactly how to find it on the blog. Again great job ! Gotta go and baste the bird lol
Take care and.....
Peace to you
Deb
I was told when I finish meds they will do another test either 3 months or 6 months later and then If still und then I am cured. The reason they said 3-6 months is she said they might be changing it from the 6 month wait. I also joined a another test while doing this where they check me every year for 3 yrs. They said with the yearly check they also want to see how much the liver has healed itself.
Congrats on the positive result. I'm wondering why he's waiting 3 months to test again. This test was only 18 days after stopping treatment.
I'm not trying to put a damper on your positive news but if it were me Id request another test in another month.
My husband relapsed at 4 weeks post treatment.
As there are new treatments now, the sooner you know your true status the better. If at 6 weeks post treatment you are still UND, I think that would be a very positive indicator.
Best wishes for SVR12.
Nan
:) you got the Turkey AND the Dragon today!
YES!!!
HAPPY THANKS-GIVING
***************************************
Happy Thanksgiving. There is nothing better than hearing news like this.
Best to you
Wooo Hoooo! Now you have something BIG to be thankful for today! Enjoy your great news.
Thanks a lot! Just received email from doc - UND! Next test is after 3 months now.
I hope you haven't relapsed. Please remember that not everything we feel after treatment means certain relapse. Even though the virus is gone, we still have liver damage to deal with. It can take a few years to get a big improvement in liver histology. So your liver is still working hard to compensate for the damage that had been done by the virus. Hang in there and hopefully all will be well. And BTW, genoype 1b has a higher sucesss rate that genotype 1a. If you do relapse there are other drugs available and about to become available that give you another good chance at SVR.
Sorry I meant that at first month of my treatment I got UND.
Sorry
Most people who relapsed did so by week 4 althought a few were still clear at 4 weeks and relapsed at week 12.
It is winter could be a cold and the dryer weather making you skin feel itchy
You will know in a few days so hang in there and enjoy the holiday weekend
Tomorrow will take care of itself
Best to you
Lynn
