Ribavirin is a 200 mg pill taken with food twice daily. The number of pills taken depends upon the daily dosage. For example, if you are to take 1400 mg daily you would take 4 pills (800 mg) in the morning and 3 pills (600 mg) in the evening. If the dosage is not easily split into even number of pills (i.e. 1200 mg is 3 pills AM and PM, but 1400 mg is 4 pills AM 3 PM). then it is recommended to take the large dosage in the morning.
Inteferon is an injection given weekly.
I should add that there a numerous other abreviations you'll commonly see used here ( i.e. WBC = White Blood Count, Hgb = Hemoglobin, IFN = Interferon, Riba = Ribavirin, etc.).
If you peruse the archives you should find recent postings which identify many of them. Some follow the medical usage (i.e. WBC), others have been commonly derived by patients over the years.
