zoloft worked really well for me. It unfortunately triggered my migraines, so I couldn't keep taking it and had to switch, but other than that, I really liked it.
When I was searching for an AD to take while in TX, the shrink prescribed Zoloft and said it was one of the 'cleaner' AD's and the one their clinic started people on. I believe she meant that it was easy on the liver and tolerable by most patients. It was not for me, as some of the AD's I tried made me hyper and insomniac, including Zoloft. You've got to start somewhere, though. If you take it for a few days to a week and it disturbs your sleep, contact the dr. to try something else.
i take zoloft and have been on it for about 8 years it has helped me tremendously!!! i was taking 50mg, but while on treatment things got a liitle rough and they upped it to 150 and that was a big help. I did not want to take the medicine, but realize that i did suffer from depression and other things, and for me this drug really works, and it does not make me feel high or groggy (maybe for a little while in the beginning) but it all leveled out, now looking back at my life i realize that i do need this medicine, and if i could not take the zoloft i would be trying to find something that works, that is how much this antidepressant has changed my life......i have been way way down in the valleys and do not want to go back to that!!!!
I also took it. Didn't help much. I now take effexor at a much higher doseage. Not sure if the zoloft didn't work or the higher doseage of effexor just helped
Sertraline is also known as ‘Zoloft’; I was prescribed Zoloft many years ago, but didn’t continue beyond two or three months; I didn’t seem to get any benefit from it--
