For those with joint pain, where does it hurt the most?

Lately, my bum and legs have hurt the worst.  Maybe I'm laying around to much. lol

(I thought this would be a good way for us to get our complaints out.)

Where to start?  LOL

It moves around.  It seems that my back hurts the worst, but I also have pains in my ankles, elbows and wrists that come and go.  

Within the last two weeks my blood sugars have whacked out so now I'm on diabetes meds in addition to my thyroid meds, my anxiety meds, my sleeping meds.....the list just goes on and on.

My HGB is dropping. Last week I went from 12 to 11.  I can really feel it.  Doc is doing labs every three weeks to keep an eye on it and see if it drops to 10.  Won't prescibe rescue meds till 10 or below.

How is everything else going for you?

Right now, my back hurts so bad that I can't bend over.  I need to pick up my house bc my son's physical therapist will be here in an hour but I can't hardly move.  I just want to go back to bed but I can't.  (((cry)))

Sheeesh - I know that feeling so well.  You feel so bad the tears just come and you can't stop.  You feel like no one cares and there isn't anyone to help you!!!

Just pick up the big things and throw them in the closet and go to bed.

Or better yet - just say I'm sick.  I can't do it.  And go to bed.

Have you taken any pain meds?  I finally took a couple tylenol earlier and it helps a little.

I'm sorry.  BTW - How do you tell someone "Is there anything I can do?"  Yeah, come vacuum my house for me.

Thanks for posting this.  It's one of those reminders that we are not alone!  Sorry to hear of everyone's aches and pains.  It does get old after a while doesn't it?  My butt and hamstrings hurt the most!  Headaches are a close second.  Today though, I must say, the pain isn't so bad. shhh I don't want to jinx it.  Anyway, I hope everyone finds their happy place to go to today to get some relief from this madness!  Thinking of all of you!

Sissy left this morn at 5:15am to drive back to Ft. Worth.  I really pushed myself these last 2 days (which are usally my down days) and am feeling it this morn.  Had to take 2 Motrin when I saw her off and went back to bed.  I could hardly walk! Joints and muscles along with legs hurting soooo bad!

nygirl, you are gonna love this one!  I tummy also feels really bad today because sissy and I sat on the couch last night and each ate a whole pint of ice cream.  Rocky Road for me and Hot fudge Sundae for her!  uuuuuggggg!  I NEVER do that!  We used to stay up and drink beer when she would come to visit.....not this time, had to change our behavior!  I don't know how you do it! "Oh tummy stop hurting"!

Going back to bed and let the calories SIT THERE!

I get wicked aches in my legs - I've found that using a herbal rice bag helps.  It generally bothers me at night.  You stick it in the micro for a couple of minutes and its warm as toast.

What I find hardest, so far for myself, is balance and judgement in regards to when to take it easy. I went to bed early last night and could have easly stayed in bed this morning and taken a day off from work. My fear is what would that lead to. My side effects haven't been super bad compared to some of what I have read here. A little of this a little of that the worse being brain fog which is on it's own scheudle. For the moment I have decided to power through side effects whilte I can because my driving fear is a time will come when I wouldn't be able to.

To date the one thing I have found that has helped clear brain fog is to put myself in situations where I have to think and speak. Anyone else have any tricks they would like to share.

Pint of icecream would be assume but I am a diabetic to boot.

This is the most unfair horrible practice in the world. Once you finally GET on the epogen or procrit make sure you don't go off and stay on it - to some measure - so if it drops again it will still all be approved etc.

Make sure RIGHT NOW that it will go through the insurance with no problems - some of us have had problems getting it through and that is the WORST because it takes a few weeks to work anyways!

I'm at in between 10.5 - 11 now and not dying. But...in the beginning it would have hurt for some reason you build up a tolerance. It's how FAST it goes down as well as the NUMBER it goes to.  Going from 15 - 9 in a week that was the real kicker my body could NOT handle.

My hips kill me sometimes...i'm on week 7 tonight and the nurse just called to say my neut's are up to 1700 which is great news because they were concerned 2 weeks ago...i'm wondering- the pain in my joints has subsided alot in the last week to 10 days. Could it be the increase in neutrophils? Does the dropping count equal bone/joint pain possibly? Neutrophils are produced in bone marrow...i dunno. just thinking...i should stop that i know.  tracy

My bums hurt the worst of all. I don't know if its the joint or the muscle. My Cathy thinks that most is in my head. Seems to be with me from the waist down. I have completely stopped taking Tylenol or anything like it and my headaches are just as bad but no any worse. I keep trying to safely reduce my intake of meds if possible. The itching takes my mind off of the joint pains at times. I hope everyones gets to to feeling better. Dale

LOL, that is a joke!  I have twin 17 month old babies.  Bed is not in my future until after 7 PM.

On a brighter note, I took four advil and my pain is subsiding.  Four advil will cure almost any ailment.

I second the Rocky Road.  Delicious for us heppers.

OMG!  I'm sure at some point I knew you had twins, but forgot.  And they are only 17 months old!!

You are my new hero.  I can't imagine doing this tx and raising babies.

The thing I hate is the nausea. I've noticed, if I eat any kind of meat with the riba , I feel like I wanna toss up. Even baked chicken does it. What a way to go ,ha!

Ask your doctor for a prescription of Zofran.  It is a miracle anti nausea drug.

Dale, did you see my post about reducing my meds?  First, I quit my antidepressant.  Then, the FDA cut my nm283 dosage in half.  I also switched to a nonhormonal birth control and I quit taking Restoril (sleeping pill).  I take one Tylenol PM instead of the prescription medication.  I haven't felt this good in weeks except for the pain that started back up last night.  I know it will go away soon tho (crossing fingers).

I don't know what all you're taking, but a clear mind and clean body certainly helps the spirits.  :)

Man I'm getting a height complex here.The strongest of my daily aches are in my neck and shoulders. Those are All day except when I allow myself a reg strength tylenol 1/2 way through work, or occasioanly in the evening. Seems everyone else has their pain in their bums. Are you all that tall or or is it because I'm just a half**s.
The leg joints make me walk like frankenstein first thing in the morning but after about 20 minutes it goes away for most of the day, although my knees say ow whenever I kneel for a quick prayer.(That's a lot lately.)

for me it's just headaches.  I get them everyday all day.  It must be the riba.  it's annoying....I don't know what's worse the headaches or the fireball filled hemorrhoids(which gives new meaning to the cartoon dragonball z)
