Oh boy, do I ever have joint and muscle pains, mostly in my arms, wrist and fingers and sometimes in my legs. The pains hurt the worst in the evening and first thing in the morning. There was a week that it felt like my arm was broken. At night, I just go to bed to get out of my misery. My ID doctor wrote me a script for 600 mg of Motrin
achy joints? i had severe right hip pain that would wake me up at night! now i just have an achy back..but thats nothing new, hehe
Want you to know you inspired me last weekend. I went to the nursery and bought a rosemary (nice sized), thyme, greek oregano, basil, parsley and actually got them planted. Nearly killed me -- had to nap a bunch that afternoon, but I did do it.
Yeah, these aches and pains are too much. This last third of tx really sucks. Soon tho, it will all be n the past.
Kath
Hey Kathy! Ohhhh today really suxs! My rt side (hip, arm & leg) are killing me this morn. Seems my rt hand is swollen. Coughed HARD all night so my throat is sooo sore. Good thing Rog is in New Braunfels (be back tonight) because I would have kept him awake all night.
My Doc told me to not take more than 2000 mg of Tylenol or Motrin a day and to alternate them. Took 2 Motrin as soon as I got up cause I too was walking like Frankenstein. Gosh I know that feeling oh too well! Looks funny too I'm sure (real attractive!) Seems my sides are with me all thru the week now, something different everyday. Used to be Tues & Wed (shot nites on Sat.) and I just can't get going!
Made myself plant 3 plants yesterday, have about 5 more to go and force myself everyday to drag the hose around the backyard and water everything.....about a 40 min project (my exercise). Buying plants makes me sooooo happy but then I have to punish my body to get them in the ground and keep them watered! Self inflicked torture! And as soon as I get everything in the ground, I will run back out to Mass nursery and buy something else! I know, I'm wacked.......
Have a great day Kathy and hope you are feeling better.

My life is a brain fart. ha! I talked to a friend on treatment for hep c the other night and couldn't remember any of the conversation. I had to ask my wife if she remembered. Pitiful absolutely pitiful. If I were dealing with a set of twins with this you would probably find me swinging and singing from the bell tower. First sign of my white cell count dropping to low has always been my back hurting and not being able to get comfortable. Just a thought. I hope to wing myself back and then off some of this stuff. I'm glad you are feeling so much better. I miss being me. Dale
Dyce: I didn't know you were having bouts with nausea man. I had them in the beginning but the medication they gave me made it worse. I must have the ultimate screwed up system when it comes to drugs. I hope you get to feeling a lot better. Think mashed potatos and oatmeal. Still lost about 16 lbs in the last four months. Wife says I have no butt now and I told her it matched the contents of my head then. Dale
Oh man, joint pain and the like. My left shoulder has been killing me lately. I suspect during my bout of bronchitis where i slept for 3 solid days, that i may have pulled something out of whack. I don't know how much tylenol is too much, but I have been taking about 6-8 extra strength a day. .. and the leg and calf cramps at night, especially in the arch of my flat feet. yikes - spend a lot of night time pulling and pushing around. Don't really know if it is tx related, but, heck -- seems like everything is.
My choice of icecream last night --- vanilla with chocolate bits on it. I know, I know, I have said icecream doesn'taste good on tx, but sometimes, you just have to force yourself. Also had a couple of rootbeer floats last week. So I guess my aversion isn't all that bad!
alady -- twins at 17 mo??? Do you even have time to know you are on tx? Don't know how you are doing it, but you have my admiration!
Watch each other? Yeah, right. ROFLMAO!
Goldyn, mine don't know that they can get out of the stroller yet. I have some harnesses but those don't work when one falls out on the floor and refuses to get up. LOL
i get lots of neck, shoulder, upper back knots & muscle pain-maybe stress related? so it ain't a vertically challenged issue;no worrys there my man!! i'm not sure about twins watching each other it's been my experience that they just won't change each others diapers.....
iremember chasing my twins from 14months of age till they were 2 and 1/2 yrs old back in 1986 they came out with the little hand rings - almost leash like but fit on thier wrist...oh i thought ir was a miracle went to the grocery store and as i walked in one of the boys just slipped it right of his wrist then looked at me with a big ole grin and started running like hello down the aisle well i tripped over the leash and while i was down the other twin ran down the other aisle i ran screaming thier names finally got em both together and threw the leash in the trash and went home i know for a fact they have you a runnin..just please try to have a little breathing time for yourself.
Sorry man. I had a brain fart on the quitting meds post. You hang in there. :0(
Alady, raising two babies! I can't even fathom what you are going through! You must be one tuff lady. You can complain all you want, we will listen.
dyce, my NP gave me Promethazine 25 mg for nausea. I take a 1/2 tablet and the nausea goes away. I only use the prescription when my stomach is upset.
okay okay....I've been tryin not to scoot but old habits are hard to break. My newest invention is the towel pony. take a towel, straddle it like a fluffy shetland pony. with one hand on the towel in front of you and one hand on the towel behind you, pull the towel back and forth as quickly as you can....relief within seconds. One important rule: no matter how much it burns or how much it itches, no matter how desperate you are, do not DO NOT use your mother in laws brand new monogrammed hand towels.

Girl you just got to get a hold on them there roids, Just think about your son for a minute. He will be in school and while all the other kids will be walking he will be scootin arcoss that floor.
for me it's just headaches. I get them everyday all day. It must be the riba. it's annoying....I don't know what's worse the headaches or the fireball filled hemorrhoids(which gives new meaning to the cartoon dragonball z)

Man I'm getting a height complex here. The strongest of my daily aches are in my neck and shoulders. Those are All day except when I allow myself a reg strength tylenol 1/2 way through work, or occasioanly in the evening. Seems everyone else has their pain in their bums. Are you all that tall or or is it because I'm just a half**s.
The leg joints make me walk like frankenstein first thing in the morning but after about 20 minutes it goes away for most of the day, although my knees say ow whenever I kneel for a quick prayer.(That's a lot lately.)
alady - 17 month old twins!!?? Hey, can't they just watch each other?
:)
Ask your doctor for a prescription of Zofran. It is a miracle anti nausea drug.
Dale, did you see my post about reducing my meds? First, I quit my antidepressant. Then, the FDA cut my nm283 dosage in half. I also switched to a nonhormonal birth control and I quit taking Restoril (sleeping pill). I take one Tylenol PM instead of the prescription medication. I haven't felt this good in weeks except for the pain that started back up last night. I know it will go away soon tho (crossing fingers).
I don't know what all you're taking, but a clear mind and clean body certainly helps the spirits. :)
The thing I hate is the nausea. I've noticed, if I eat any kind of meat with the riba , I feel like I wanna toss up. Even baked chicken does it. What a way to go ,ha!
Alady, your stronger than I raising your twins while txing. It would be a b--ch raising 1 on this stuff. You go girl!
Dyce
Just like you said headache!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Doing tx. and having 17 month old twins? Have you talked to your doctor to see why you enjoy punishing yourself? Take care and the best of luck to you.
OMG! I'm sure at some point I knew you had twins, but forgot. And they are only 17 months old!!
You are my new hero. I can't imagine doing this tx and raising babies.
Sweetie, you come here and vent and cry anytime you want to! You deserve it!
I can barely see light - what is that suction on my head - Pop! Ah! lightening BUMS everywhere. Alady started the thread out saying her Bum and Legs hurt the most. I'm sure what a bung is but me thinks it might have been a typeo. Dlea
you said... "go to bed"
LOL, that is a joke! I have twin 17 month old babies. Bed is not in my future until after 7 PM.
On a brighter note, I took four advil and my pain is subsiding. Four advil will cure almost any ailment.
I second the Rocky Road. Delicious for us heppers.
Last night I ate Cherry Vanilla, never would
have chosen that flavor in the past, but what
a craving.
Your choice of ice cream flavor, Rocky Road, is appropriate for hcv tx.
