I was also genotype 4, and just found out I was cured 2 weeks ago with same Tx. Be careful driving after getting shot, it affected me right away, have someone drive you. Remember to drink lots of water, and keep eating too. Good luck!
Thank you for the heads up and congratulations on being Hep Free!!
Welcome to dragon slaying! I just finished the same treatment a week ago. This is a great place for support! One day at a time! Like the DRAGON FREE Sandi says... Drink lots of water and pace yourself!
Here's to us reaching SVR like so many before us!
Yes the battle is worth fighting!
Thinking of you, keep in touch when you can, know that many are here more than willing to help you through this
Take Care
Dee

Thank you Mary, can't believe I am excited about starting meds.Feeling like I won my first battle(insurance issues). Now on to win the war!
And it just gets better from here. I am not trying to downplay the sides --- many of us have to a lesser or greater degree (and many don't so don't borrow trouble there and expect sides). Just take each day as it comes and sufficient unto that day is the life therein - paraphrasing here.
I was like you, excited to start the meds, looking forward to the Pat vs Dragon battle and, ultimate ( this time or sometime in the near future) SVR. I had prepared myself as best I could, prayed a lot and got on with it. I look at each thing that crops up and try to find a creative way to meet that challenge. It keeps me sane, and really reduces the anxiety and stress. AND, I collect the empty bottles as trophies toward the day when the dragon is gone forever! Big Smiley face here. Welcome to the battle, gird yourself with faithand good cheer and come join us as we ALL take this one step at a time. Oh, yes, never lose that excitement - each step in this walk has me grinning from ear to ear, no matter how I feel. Pat
I realize you are excited (and I was too!) however I just wanted to point out that in doing your shot on Monday means that is when you will be doing your shot throughout treatment (every Monday).
Lots of folks prefer(ed) to administer the Interferon injection on Friday since they have the weekend to 'recover.'
I administered my shots on Friday and in looking back it was actually Sunday that was a rougher day. After that I was OK (or as OK as one could be on HCV meds)
Anywho I would be anxious to get the show on the road too.
Best of luck and I hope you continue to to post throughout treatment :)
I will actually be taking my shot on Sunday nights ,doc says it is ok just this time on Monday because I will do it at the office .my schedule is busy on the weekend ,sun mon tues if needed will be slow pace for me .thanks for the heads up .All I have learned here so far has been very helpful ☺️
Good luck Buba on your shot tomorrow, get someone to drive you. Be prepared to take it easy the rest of the day. I would suggest eating dinner beforehand. Let us know how it goes.
Today is thee first day of this new beginning.I agree w/hepc4Sandi, have someone drive you. Also, don't forget to hydrate before and throughout treayment. It helps!
