Can anyone give me any info on this procedure?

Thanks for the info...I have been in the dark lately about the nature of this problem.  I don't know why my doctor has ordered a biopsy and he doesn't even know if the disease is active.  I have had so many blood tests lately and still haven't been given any info.  I have a skin disorder called porphyria Cutanea Tarda which he says is a result from the Hep C so the disease is more than likely active.  In any event, I will find out all in due time and will probably have to treat like so many others.  Not looking forward to it at all.   Ever since finding out about this it seems like my orderly life has been rocked quite a bit.  Not sure why I am feeling like this....like the saying goes Sh... Happens.
Apprciate you.

Procedure is done while you're awake. You are asked lie on your side for a few hours afterward to lessen the chances of bleeding. Generally in and out the same day with no overnight required. Also see my posting to rldl.
