YOU are not a wimp. We have all felt or thought the worst at one time or another before, during or after treatment. Congratulations on clearing. Now get back to life and enjoy!!! You have a wife and kids who would like to get to know the real you again. You have slayed your dragon and we are proud of you.
Good morning. Thanks for all your feed back on post tx. I've been off for 3 weeks and it has helped to hear how your experiences have been.
I didn't take anything for sleep problems (probably should have) and have had problems post tax up until the past few days.
Overall have been showing steady improvement. I'm going to show my hubby your threads so I don't have to keep explaining things to him.
Thanks again and good luck as we come back to planet earth.
Congrats on your speedy recovery, life does feel better now.
I have been off meds for about a week and just came back from having my blood drawn for the end of Tx tests. My experience so far as been kind of confusing as I had to kick out of my system 3 months worth of Ambien daily intake while on tx. I am experiencing really poor sleep and anxiety/nervousness. i dumped the last few pills in the toilet after having cut down to about a little more than a half pill. I was wondering if I am having withdrall from the Ambien or post tx symptoms. I do have a much better stamina and my energy is coming back. I can't wait to get all this behind me.
Thanks to all of you who have supported me through this 24 weeks roller coaster .
Emmanuel
Hey Jeff, That is great news - I'm really looking forward to
being at your stage - I'm at week 27!
All the best,
Andrew
Great news Jeff, I'm on week 4 so thats great to hear promissing results... people close to me have told me since I've started Tx I have the most noticeable change in my personalety, eg I am far happier than before & I get involved with things more, I totaly didn't expect this... I wonder why this has happened to me...
i have got some sides though, my gums feel sore, in fact I was cleaning my teeth & it hurt like mad, I had to check it was my tooth brush because it felt so different... plus I itch a fair bit I am drinking water like mad... I will kick this Dragon though... Just like you will too Jeff but wow I don't know how you find the drive/energy to get up & workout good on you for trying hard... Good Luck.. ~~~Steve~~~
Jeff, congradulations on beating the dragon!! You must be so excited, relieved, overwhelmed!
Steve, my gums started bothering me almost right away in tx, so I bought an Oral B electric toothbrush and it works great to clean my teeth and not tear my gums up.
Emmanuel, Yes Ambien is very habit forming, so it is not surprising that after taking it every night you are having a problem gettin rid of it. You may be facing a sleep problem for a week or so while you get over it.
one other thing guys, and this will surely be a cheery thought - I never felt so crummy on tx as I did off. That it was not expected definately caught me offguard - but it was weird. the fatique blew my mind and, once the doc said everything was fine, it has been like (knock on wood) an alarm went off saying you have permission to feel good again - folks, I am one of the most reasonalbe, pragmatic people around but these last six weeks I have been just neurotic - so don't let anyone say that you're acting unreasonable because you're doing it for attention or whatever. Lurch - you take you're time and don't let anyone tell you what is going on inside you and, if you can, get it together for another shot and if you can't believe me, i know what youre talking about-
thanks again. Jeff
That is real good news.It is another person who kicked that darn dragon's booty. I love it when I hear news like that.
This is wonderful news for all of us to hear! Life is good.
