I agree as well. Offering constant reassurance is actually enabling or feeding into the person's OCD.

I sent a message to the moderator to take a look at ALL the posts he's posted on the variety of medhelp forums. Obviously he can not be having tests for all this stuff. Why they missed our sincere efforts to inform and help the forum is beyond me.

I guess somebody didn't like it when I posted saying that, so a mod decided to remove it... Not sure why though when he keeps asking the same thing here and other places......... Oh well, I agree with you OH.

I see many of your posts all over medhelp. Apparently you have a problem that is not related to any physical problem.
If you have anxiety or feel you must post about various different tests then you should seek professional help.
There are people here that are seriously ill, dealing with serious symptoms of very real illness and medical treatments.
There is help for OCD and anxiety.
Show some compassion and please stop posting these questions here.

" I mean if they're negative thats a really good sign correct?"

It means you DO NOT have HCV and you can have PCR's done until the cows come home and the results will be the same.
Your words in another thread:  " Ive read on the RNA PCR and its accurate like 2-3 weeks after exposure? is this true?".
YES, YES, YES!!!!  HCV is detected by PCR 2-3 wks after exposure and a negative PCR is definitive.  We don't make the rules regarding PCR results, those are the facts, plain and simple.  There are very sick people on this forum who need support because they DO have HCV and you might want to take that into consideration before posting such nonsensical questions that you already know the answer to.

I get them back on the 24th. Should I let you know how the results are? I mean if they're negative thats a really good sign correct? I would just need to come back in another 6 months and take another test?

Perhaps you should just wait on the results of your 2cd PCR since you don't seem to want to accept the answers you have been given or the test results you have already recieved

Why do you keep repeating tests when they indicate you are NOT infected with hepatitis C?

Oct. 15th you posted "my first rna was negative I am awaiting my second rna results."
and a few days before...
"This is the second time I've tested positive for hep c anti bodies in my blood. I got an HCV RNA PCR test done this august and it was negative, I just have gotten another HCV RNA PCR test done and am awaiting my results."

Why do you keep repeating tests when they indicate you are NOT infected with hepatitis C? Hasn't your doctor told you 25 to 45% of people who are initially infected with HCV will naturally clear it from the body.  Once a person is infected with hepatitis C he or she will retain HCV antibodies for life even if the body is able to eliminate the hepatitis C virus from the body naturally.

Congratulations! You have nothing to worry about as far as hepatitis C. You are not infected.

Bilirubin may be at the top or normal range (some ranges go to 1.9 others to 1.3) or slightly elevated. You did not post the normal ranges for your blood tests. Different labs use different ranges, so we can't say if it is significant or not.

ALT and AST and GGT are normal.  Bilirubin is high and it could be caused by a number of things.  A positive antibody test doesn't mean you have HCV.  The presence of HCV should be confirmed by HCV RNA PCR.
