Transmission of hepatitis after 11 years

Hello All,

I am 26 year old male from Germany. I had hepatitis at the age of 15 (i don't remember whether it was A or B, but definetly not C, i know its not the best place to ask question about A & B but unfortunetly there is no other community for them) . It was cured properly within a months time and I didn't had it again during last 11 years. Now, my new girl friend is refusing to give me a proper kiss, because she thinks that I still can transmit my old hepatits to her after 11 years and she insisits that she will not kiss me properly untill she gets a vaccine for it!! (which costs 200 euro!!). Does my girl friend has a point here??? Can I still transmit hepatitis after 11 years through kiss?? I find it ridiculous, but i want to confirm my view before I confront my girl friend over this issue.

thanks in advance

Mayur

Always a good idea for anyone to get vaccinated for A & B.  We are required to vaccinate newborns in the US.  Jump over to the hepb forum, they can anwer all your questions.

Post your question there.

Also, your girlfriend needs to get vaccinated for A&B and when you find out which you actually had get vaccinated for the one you didn't have.
I'm surprised the cost is so high for a HAV/HBV vaccine.
