My ass draggin' is low WBC. Don't know. Good luck in finding some energy.
I know how you feel. So much to do and haven't the energy to do it.
I'm in wk 10. I still drag along, but I keep moving and take lots of breaks.
I just have no choice. It can become very frustrating as I have always been
physically strong. All muscles turned to mush, but I keep trying.
Missy
I have been meaning to clean my floor for 2 weeks now. I will do it on Fri. before my next shot when I feel my best. It doesn't look good.
Better get the Provigil prescription filled. I'm told it does a pretty good job with fatigue, though I don't have any personal experience with it.
Well... duh... when you do something that requires a whole lot of energy, you're going to pay. Check out your WBC's. I got way better once I passed my 12th week. I still don't have the energy I used to have, but I've gotten more accustomed to the fact, and I no longer try to fight it. If it's there, terrific, if it's not, oh well---some other time. It'll come back.
I, too, have always been very physically active, and was appalled when my muscles started feeling like they were turning to mush. But now they feel like they're building back up, at least a little. I put a heaping tablespoon of nutritional yeast in my smoothie every morning, along with protein power. Don't know if it really helps, but I feel like it does, and it tastes good!
Hang in there, take the bad with the good. Listen to your body and don't push yourself too hard, unless you really feel like you can handle it. And laugh... a lot!!
That was funny. Well Dugh... Become on with the program right?
And a BIG welcome to Tx of HCV and it's sx. I think once you accept
the fact of the disease and it's sx. it becomes easier because you learn what you can and can't do while treating. It sucks, but it's all a part of the game.
Also of course under the supervision of a Dr. to watch over your labs.
I'm really anti-any-drug but gave in today and had the Provigil script filled. The Pharmacist said that it takes a few days to kick in so I'll report back to you guys about how it works out. He also said that he's seeing a lot of scripts for Provigil for cancer patients going through Chemo tx...I didn't tell him that I'm going through HCV tx.
Yesterday I was in a few hour business meeting and almost fell asleep more than once. The people know me well and all seemed to be wondering what's up with me.
