You have described my last 13 weeks of treatment...
I take Zofran every 6 hrs. If I forget I am reminded real quick like!!!
As far as a quick fix goes, I agree with the Ginger Ale although I prefer the Seagrams brand.
I also find that lemon candies help....although it's not a good idea to pop too many of them throughout the day unless you can find some good sugar free ones....

Here's a recipe for Ginger Tea. If it's your first time, you less of the root. They honey also can be soothing but I'd leave out the lemon because of the GERD. Hope you feel better soon. Never tried ginger beer, but Gingerale -- like cigaso suggests -- can be helpful. Sometimes it works best when sipped warm.

jmjm nailed it. I drink diet Canada Dry Gingerale when I'm nauseated. It helps. Hope you attain SVR.
Thanks for the quick response. I Do have GERD, and have been on Protinix twice a day for years. I found some ginger beer and am giving it a try though it is burning my tongue. Maybe I will dilute it.
Thanks & Hugs

The "gagging" could be caused by reflux which doesn't necessarily have to manifest itself with hearburn. A good ENT can evaluate you. If reflux, they will probably put you on a PPI like Nexium, or an H-2 Pump like Pepcid AC/Zantac, etc.
Try Ginger -- raw/tea/pickled/ginger cookies/gingerale, etc. Some have great success with medical marijuna. A drug, "Zofran" is used by many chemo patients for nausea. Make sure you take your ribavirin with a good-size meal that has fat in it. Drink plenty of water but not with meals. The good news is that nausea usually goes away further into treatment.
