Pedicure

Just got a pedicure. I got acrylics on my large toes because an injury had me lose part of my nail. During the sanding process I began to bleed. This was after the foot bath process. I then received the acrylic and had the nail painted. Wondering what the chances of hcv transmission are and if I should get tested. Whether it be from the sanding tool or the nail polish which is used on multiple people. The salon is a completely open salon In the mall. Right after it began bleeding they put some green liquid on the toe. I'm assuming a disinfectant. Let me know what you guys and girls think. I appreciate it greatly.

Agree with the others about what to do in future. Many places are now organized for their regular clients and keep each individual's tools in labelled boxes.

Otherwise, just bring your own and if the salon objects, then find another one. An easy precaution worth taking.

For this particular incident, I personally would let it go but it depends on you. It's about blood-to-blood contact; the chances are remote but possible.

Pedicures are super, aside from that. :)

Appreciate the recommendations but what I'm wondering is about the transmission of HCV since this did already happen.
