If you're really concerned go to your friends or significant other's next doctor's appt. He or she won't mind and if he/she does then something is not right. I suggest you talk it over with them and just explain that you want to know everthing there is to learn about it including if he ever plans on txing. Also explain about your small children who are totally responsible for you for everything. If he's an allright person, I think he will get the pic and welcome you visit to the doctor with him. God Bless

Eating utensils, plates dishes are not supposed to be of much concern. However, the using of toothbrushes, razors, nailclips, toe nail clips can all transmit small amounts of blood. When most ppl think of blood to blood contact, they forget alot of stuff. It just doesn't mean not to use IV with an infected person or anyone at all, ever. Blood to blood contact can happen in alot of different ways, I don't appreciate dropping names, but there are at least one person who got infected being hit with fists. Another person got infected and protected her family members and belongings and she was infected by some idiot who broke into her house and she had to fight him off and was infected. Another person was infected sexually, it does happen even though it's a very minimal amount of transmission and is often transmitted during violent and extremely rough sex such as rape. I suggest you read around, and ask all the questions you want as knowledge is power. good luck
HCV is a blood born disease and can be transmitted through blood only. It cannot be spread through sharing utencils like plates, towels, glass cup, kissing etc. However, the items of personal use should be seperated like razors , tooth brushes, nail clippers and needles etc.
